Mountains
Spending the last 12 days with the view to the left has led me to consider mountains!! They are amazing. The changes that occur from minute to minute are incredible. The mountains had no snow on when we arrived ... but look at them now. The weather has ranged from sunshine, to clouds, to mist, to rain, to snow, to not even being able to see the lake, let alone the mountains. I could sit and look at them for hours....!
The grey of the Rockies in Northern Utah is so different from the red in Southern Utah...(see above right!) It has led me to ponder what makes them grey... and why do they turn red when you go south!? I'm sure there is some geological reason... but not sure what it is.... ! Will have to research and find out!
I know the picture above doesn't make them look too grey... but believe me they are! (See below). The sunset just turned them this wonderful pinky colour! 
Autumn
Autumn has to be my most favourite time of year. The crisp mornings and evenings.... and the colours! Wow!
Travelling at this time of year has both its advantages and its disadvantages... you are never sure what weather/temperature you are gonna get... so travelling light becomes less likely... especially for me. A trip to Utah, Nevada and Florida means rain, cold, sun (desert) storms, snow, cold and then finally (hopefully) hot sun! Not planned very well that.... or maybe it was?... best of both worlds!
Off to Florida tomorrow after an amazing 12 days with good friends in Utah. The Autumn colours here seem different from home... never seen such golden yellows on trees!
I am going to miss my friends... the time here has gone so quickly... but Mickey Mouse is calling me.... what can I do... gonna have to go see him. :-)
