Heroes

I LOVE the programme Heroes, and have really been enjoying this series - I can't believe we are almost at the end of Series 2!!  The idea of being a hero and saving the world, how amazing is that...  But the other day, whilst in reflective mood, I started thinking about heroes in our life... who do we look up to?... who do we aspire to be like? ... who do we consider to be our heroes... and why?

Thinking about my own personal heroes, Jesus Christ has to be the one! He saved the world by his actions.   

If I could just live my life the way he did, being longsuffering, kind, loving, forgiving, non-judgemental, generous, patient and LOVING (I use loving twice, because if we can master that one, the others should come). If I could live my life like that, I would be the best person I could be. 

As Christians, our goal is to try and become more like Christ... but how successful are we? How often do we evaluate our lives and think about where we are going wrong, and where we need to make changes? I know it's something I need to work on.
